Sad News
Writer of "Kanyakubj Kulgaan", Most Respected Pt. Vijai Shankar Shukla, former Principal Degree College & former Joint Secretary (Education) UP Government passed away on 28th April, 2013 at Pallia, Lakhimpur. He was 87yrs old. He is survived by his wife, two sons, three daughters (all well settled) & many grand children. Sri Shukla ji was a very good prose & poetry writer. He was awarded by Governor of UP for his contribution in literature. He was very closely associated with activities of "Kanyakubj Sabha". He was also guide & adviser to editor of "Kanyakubj Vaani". He has promised to contribute Rs.1000/- annually to magazine throughout his life. We had decided to confer on him "Sahyog Samman" in annual function next year, but unfortunately it will be given posthumously. He remained very active till last moment of his life.
THOUGH HE IS NO MORE IN HIS PHYSICAL FORM BUT HE WILL LIVE IN OUR MEMORIES.
